Privacy policy

Effective August 14, 2026

This policy is short because this site collects almost nothing. That is deliberate. We advise companies on protecting data, so we start by not gathering yours.

What this site collects

Nothing directly. There are no cookies, no tracking pixels, no forms, and no accounts on controlandfunction.com. We use GoatCounter for aggregate, cookie-free analytics: page counts, referrer, browser type, and country. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint devices, and does not collect personal information. We cannot identify you from it and do not try.

If you email us

If you write to hello@controlandfunction.com, we receive your email address and whatever you send. We use it to reply and to conduct any engagement that follows. We do not add you to marketing lists, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone.

If you book a call

Scheduling runs on Calendly. The information you enter there (name, email, meeting details) is processed by Calendly under Calendly's privacy notice. We receive the booking details and use them to hold the meeting.

Client engagements

Consulting engagements are governed by their own agreements, which take precedence over this policy for engagement materials. As a matter of practice we track the status of client compliance programs and pointers to evidence, and we do not take custody of raw sensitive artifacts, which remain in the client's own environment.

Retention and your rights

Email correspondence is retained as long as needed for the relationship it belongs to. If you want correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it unless a legal or contractual obligation requires otherwise. To exercise any privacy right, email hello@controlandfunction.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date. Given how little this site collects, changes should be rare.
